General sailing school information

All our classes are 3 hours each. Class sizes are typically 4-6 people, which allows you to have more personal interaction with the instructor. Whether you're brand new to sailing, or looking to freshen up skills you already have, 3rd Coast Cruising is the school for you. In fact, we intentionally fill our classes with students at all levels of experience. This gives new students a chance to observe experienced sailors in action, while giving experienced sailors a chance to fine-tune their existing skills and practice skippering. The whole time, our Certified Instructors will guide you through the classes, teaching new concepts, answering questions and keeping you appropriately challenged.

SCHEDULING

We sail every day of the week. You can schedule your lessons to fit your life. You choose the number of lessons you want to take, and purchase a the corresponding package. You do not need to know when you want to sail in order to register with us.

We find this makes sense for everyone. If you're very busy, you can take a lesson here and there, or if you're not-so-busy, you can sail every day. Of course, you need to make a reservation for any lesson you wish to take. Once you do know when you want to sail, you send an email to our scheduling center with your request.
